Build a supportive, welcoming community for refugee and immigrant young people – become a Foster Parent or Host Home with Refugees Northwest Foster Care!

Since 1980, Refugees Northwest Foster Care has partnered with a dedicated community of caregivers to welcome and support refugee and immigrant youth. Youth referred to this program – Unaccompanied Refugee Minors – are unable to return to their countries of origin and are without adults to care for them. Through placement with foster parents or access to a host home, they are not only connected to safe and stable homes, they receive health coverage, legal and immigration support, and have a dedicated staff team who work to ensure they have the resources they need to reach their personal goals here in the U.S.

Foster homes and host homes are the base of a supportive and welcoming community for each Unaccompanied Refugee Minor – and additional homes are urgently needed.

Refugees Northwest Foster Care actively seeks individuals and couples from diverse backgrounds to join our program as foster parents or host homes. We welcome adults of all sexual orientations, gender identities, marital statuses, and faiths, and we value the strengths a diverse community brings to help meet the diverse needs refugee and immigrant youth.

Our program currently licenses households and approves host homes in King County and south Snohomish County areas only.
